Why the MG Windsor EV Became So Popular

MG focused on two major ideas that helped the Windsor EV stand out:

1. Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS)

This model makes owning an EV cheaper.

  • Starting price: ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom)
  • Battery: Rented separately
  • Billing: Pay-per-kilometre

Because buyers don’t need to pay for the battery at the time of purchase, the on-road cost drops a lot. This idea brought many first-time buyers into the EV market.
