Major Electronic and Functional Upgrades on the X440 T
The Harley-Davidson X440 T introduces a host of new electronic features, making it one of the most technologically advanced motorcycles in its segment.
Ride-by-Wire (RbW) Throttle
The new RbW system replaces the old cable throttle and offers:
- Smoother, more controlled throttle response
- Cleaner handlebar layout
- Compatibility with advanced rider-assist systems
Dual Ride Modes
Enabled by the new electronic throttle:
- Road Mode: Sharper throttle response for everyday riding
- Rain Mode: Softer throttle, added intervention for wet roads
Switchable Rider Aids (Segment-First)
Harley has added advanced electronic safety systems usually seen on bigger bikes:
- Switchable Traction Control (TCS)
- Switchable Rear ABS
These aids improve safety and stability on gravel, wet patches, and uneven roads.
Panic Braking Alert (Segment-First)
During sudden braking above 2.4 m/s², all indicators flash rapidly—four times faster than regular hazard signals.
This warns trailing vehicles and significantly enhances emergency visibility.
