Mahindra is getting ready to bring a big update to its popular 7-seater SUV, the XUV700. Just like Mahindra renamed the XUV300 to XUV 3XO, new trademark leaks show that the XUV700 facelift will be called the Mahindra XUV 7XO.
This new name tells us that Mahindra is planning more than just small changes — the XUV 7XO will get major upgrades in design, features, and technology.

Sharper and More Premium Design
New spy photos show that Mahindra has made many changes to how the SUV looks. The front of the XUV 7XO will get:
- A taller, more stylish grille
- New dual-pod LED projector headlamps
- Updated front and rear bumpers
From the side, you will notice newly designed alloy wheels.
The back of the car will still look familiar but will get slightly updated taillamp elements.

A Major Cabin Upgrade: New Triple-Screen Layout
The biggest change inside the XUV 7XO is the three-screen dashboard setup. This is similar to the modern screens seen on Mahindra’s Born Electric SUVs. This will make the cabin feel more premium and high-tech.
The interior may also get new lighter colours and extra comfort features in higher variants, such as:
- Massaging front seats
- Rear ventilated seats (especially in 6-seater models)
- A 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system
- Sliding second-row seats for better comfort

More Features and Better Safety
Mahindra wants the XUV 7XO to stay ahead of the competition. So we can expect it to come loaded with modern features and safety tech.
Expected features include:
- Level 2 ADAS
- 7 airbags (6 standard)
- Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
- 360-degree camera
- Bigger screens with improved connectivity
These features will help the XUV 7XO remain one of the safest and most advanced SUVs in its segment.

Engines: No Major Mechanical Changes
Mahindra is likely to continue using the same strong engines from the current XUV700, which are already very powerful:
- 2.0L mStallion Turbo Petrol – 200 PS / 380 Nm
- 2.2L mHawk Diesel – Up to 185 PS / 450 Nm
The diesel automatic with AWD (All-Wheel Drive) is also expected to return.
These engines are proven, reliable, and offer great performance.

Expected Launch Timeline and Rivals
The Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to launch in 2026. Because of the new design and added features, the prices will likely increase compared to the current XUV700.
When it arrives, it will compete with:
- Tata Safari
- Hyundai Alcazar
- MG Hector Plus
- Mahindra Scorpio N
Conclusion
The Mahindra XUV 7XO seems ready to bring big upgrades in design, comfort, and technology. With a triple-screen cabin and premium features, it could easily become one of the most exciting 7-seater SUVs in India.
