Tata Motors has officially launched the 2026 Tata Punch Facelift in India today, January 13, 2026. Prices start at an introductory ₹5.59 lakh (ex-showroom), making this the first major update for India’s best-selling micro-SUV since its debut in 2021.
This facelift goes far beyond cosmetic changes. The Punch now gets a powerful turbo-petrol engine, a heavily updated interior, and safety features that push it closer to premium sub-4m SUVs.

GadiGarage Verdict
The 2026 Tata Punch Facelift is no longer just a “small SUV for the city.” With a 120PS turbo-petrol engine, premium tech, and standard 6 airbags, it now punches well above its weight.
It directly challenges compact SUVs like the Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet, especially for buyers who want performance, safety, and compact dimensions without moving into a higher price bracket.
So, what do you think — does the new turbo engine finally make the Punch the most exciting budget SUV in India, or would you still choose a bigger sub-4m SUV?
